[spoiler=How Who is the mole works]The idea is you gather a group of 10-12 people. Those people travel to places in the world where they have to complete tasks (examples would be: finding a "kidnapped" contestant within the time given, trying to gather info to draw the mole's fingerprint, running from one place to another in the midst of a game of laser tag, duplicating a gallery hall, pulling goods from one place to another within the time period, getting envelopes of money while not being photographed, pulling ropes with the right number, trying to put the right people on photo according to the info known about them, winning a race with pitstop, leading people to a set location with only video footage to guide them or leaving envelopes to guide them to a location). Successfully completing a task means you win money.
But there's a catch!
One of them is hired to sabotage things so the group doesn't win money, this is the mole. Every episode the players attempt to complete multiple tasks to win money and end it with a quiz with questions about the mole's identity in order to get to the next round. If you have most answers wrong your trip is over and you have to pack your bags and leave. The only one with complete immunity, though, is the mole, who stays in the game no matter what.
This continues until there are three contestants left. The one who then guesses who the mole is wins all the money. If the mole wins no one gets anything.
Of course there's extras. You have jokers (which take a percentage of wrong answers from your quiz), the free game (which assures you are going to the next round), the black free game (which makes all jokers and free games invalid) and negative money which means you have to hand back money you earned before. During any time in the game the mole or the game master can offer jokers or free games in exchange for money or services. Sometimes jokers can be found hidden during tasks contestants have to complete and during some tasks negative money can be found when they opened the wrong box or pulled the wrong rope.[/spoiler]
Here's footage from the first season of the few UK ones which was a civilian edition. In the NL they pretty much only do them with celebrities nowadays.

I'm in this class about linguistic Fieldwork, and I get to do real fieldwork!!! It's really labor and time intensive. I kinda want to do more of it, but I don't think I can manage the stress of it. There's just so much to do!

And my best friend's mom is officialy dying of lung cancer. They just switched to end-of-life care. It's depressing, and it's affecting my writing. I just started a fanfic where Vermouth murders Kogorou in front of Shinichi... weird how these things come out in writing.

Aw, thank you Commi *hugs* My sleep schedule has been really jacked up lately, so my brain is just useless now ;__; I took Intro to Physics to fulfill my Science req and I thought it was fun because we launched rockets and dropped eggs and made vortex cannons. Then came calculating vectors or curvature or whatever and I was just like "NO WHY WHAT NO!" ;__;
Circuit stuff is wayyyyy above my head haha XD

It's cool that you get to do real fieldwork! Classes like those are rather hard to come by so I hope you enjoy it!

Despite the world (and my own love of finding misery on the internet) doing everything to make me disagree, getting out of college was the best decision I could've made. I can't say it was entirely useless but it is far better to take a risk than to guarantee yourself of going nowhere. Like 2 years ago, I was still deciding it somehow could work out to go for a career I had little interest left in and had/would have forgotten 80-90% of anyway (assuming I haven't already).

Also Shiromi, goddammit life is unfair. I can only wish for the best for your best friend and his/her family.
