My great-uncle's in hospital with chest pains... he's 98, so most of us are figuring that he probably won't be leaving hospital. It's less a case of worrying about the outcome as hoping for it to be comfortable.

Cannot be so sure about that, but it seems like he outlived my grandfather, who would have turned 90 this year. Maybe, he'll be lucky and make it out to live a few more years.

You seem much better at English than some other people I have met in real life, Aqua. Probably much better than I am at languages other than English, since I only know a few French words and Spanish words, as well as some Japanese (cannot read anything asides from Romaji though). I know you mean well and I think everyone else does too.

Damn you Chaucer, and your long-windedness. Reading Middle English is haaaaaaarrddd and reading a boring treatise on the taking of revenge and the gathering of wealth and the act of going to war doesn't make it any easier. I was liking 'The Tale of Sir Thopas', why'd it have to be abandoned if favor of a Medieval Christian philosophy lecture? I was cringing so much when it got to the part where "Your daughter was maimed because you're not a good enough Christian and that pissed off God!" was the lesson. I really despise that sort of thinking, or rather, I despise people who say that to one who is grieving.
My DC Fanfic: Awaking and Arising - Shiromi writes her version of the end of the series. With 100% more lesbians and immortal zombie boys. And existential crises. Lots of them.
Kogorou - A character study that seeks to answer the question: Why is Kogorou the way he is?
A Kindred Spirit - Sonoko and Makoto realize that they have more in common than previously realized.
DC Fanfic Rants

Kind of scares me to know that. Doctors where I live go on prescribing drugs for anything and everything, when I feel that like surgery, they should be a last resort.

Political mumbo jumbo? what? I'm also throwing you out of the family ;)
People that do not vote are basically letting parties like Sverigedemokraterna (racists, mostly) into riksdagen
And if you feel lazy you can vote in advance at the library, as soon as you get your poll card

Thanks for that >__>" I feel that the love from my sisters is suuuuuper strong :x ::)
Also, grandma said she'd kick me out of the family as well if I voted for Sverigedemokraterna :x :P
Ugh, I certainly don't want them in charge. Anyhow, some guy from a smaller party came by this afternoon and talked about that party. When dad checked the papers I got, he asked what I thought of them. My answer was that they really sounded pretty good and stood by some really great stuff, dad seemed pleased with the answer and said that he's voted for them to sit at the Municipal council
I think they were called the Socialisterna or something like that

Conclusion: "This area is full of crap" and "It's a nasty place!"

Why is that scary? He just wants to help...
and Aqua, I wanted to ask for some time, but why all the brackets?
... I mean, you don't need then after every dot so I've kinda been wondering why you use them so frequently.

The doctor may be wanting to help, but I already have family members that I consider druggies because they have too many prescription and I do not want to end up like that.

Also, the drugs may not actually be treating what is really wrong with the person, just taking care of the symptoms that should be used to make a correct diagnosis.

The other thing that I have come to believe, though it may be wrong, is that the more meds one takes, the weaker their immune system will become.

Meds can be a vital part of recovery, but for antibiotics in particular it is true that the more you take, the less effective both they and your immune system become. Too many people take them for colds and flus, which should definitely be avoided, since those can generally run through your system safely with food and rest.

That sounds reasonable.

Are you talking about Rättvisepartiet Socialisterna? Because they seem just as far to the left as Sverigedemokraterna is to the right. And it doesn't look like they'll make the 4% threshold anyway.
