What's on your mind?

If you have some randomness to share that you can't post elsewhere, this is the place to do it.

Bought Dragon Quest VII: Fragments of the Forgotten Past for 3DS and maaan this is so well done. I was legitimately thinking this might be just a poorly done cash grab because the original game was pretty poor (awful start). It was released last year (surprising they did 7 instead of some of the more popular titles like 5). But instead it truly is the best way to experience the game so far. The original was super flat, with worse art than the SNES games and it was as boring as Sentinels of the Starry Skies as it takes 5 hours to get to the first fight. I just started playing this but visually it looks about the same or better than VIII, and the transitioning and everything is just perfected to the max from what I'm seeing. This could legitimately be the best DQ game once I get to the individual town stories. While Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King has the most immersing ones, it's because everything ties to the main story with the great emotional moments, but DQ7 is mainly about the town stories, so it puts the most effort into the individual characters in those stories...
I didn't like 9 because the MC was the only actual character in your group which made grinding levels boring as hell compared to other DQ games.

I wish they made a remake like this of DQV.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EPU8mGIpFEY <--AMV that won Best of Show, Judge's Choice, and Editor's Choice at Anime Boston.

Also other randomness like tired.
I have now interacted with the alters of all 120 shrines in BotW. I should probably go face Gannon soon-ish, because there's less and less left to do. Archi has been poking at me to go ahead and kill Gannon, because the new Persona 5 game is finally out. Thing is... now that I've actually played P5 (picked it up from the shop, installed add-on content like Japanese audio (so that the names don't get mangled), and got through starting stuff) I... am not sure I like it enough to finish the game. It's a lot more bloody, and I don't like some of the imagery. It's also going back to the way that one acquired personae in the first couple Persona games, which was by talking the demons when you fight them, rather than through Shuffle Time. Gimme back shuffle time and the chance to actually get a low-level Persona for fusion fodder... And give me back the card-spread fusion! I do NOT like the imagery of the "execution" thing. And the story flipping back and forth gets pretty annoying. Also? Even on safety it's a harder/more dangerous game in the dungeons. If the enemies catch you , it does more than give them an advantage for that battle. They surround you and you cannot escape the battle. On top of that, it'll raise security. If Security hits 100% you'll be automatically kicked out of the dungeon. Rrrrgh....
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!
Cross-posted:Case of the Midnight Channel at Archive of our Own.
This version is currently running 1 chapter behind.
