I love minesweeper so much ... but I didn't vote for it.

I remember learning it after I tried it, got blown up... so I thought since it's a computer game, I could just try to remember the location of all the bombs and mark it afterward to win, then after counting, I realized how to play as the numbers reflected the number of bombs surrounding it XD

I think my dad taught me. Only thing he ever taught me.

It's on my phone as well, and I play it almost all the time... It's a very good thinking game.

I just opened minesweeper for the first time on my vista machine, and was surprised by the layout.

...also, the xyzzy cheat no longer works.

2. I hate the vista layout.  It annoys me.  And you can replay games you just did, which is kinda like cheating.  That's why I usually only play it on my phone.

I don't have the best one with both XD of mine, so I understand where you're coming from XD, though my hope is to mend mine, as much as I could so I can live without regrets

1) Minesweeper (at least in XP, and I'm fairly sure before that), had a cheat where you hit xyzzy+enter (maybe shift-enter), and it colored a single pixel in the corner white or black depending on if your mouse was hovering over a mine or not. So, if you ever wanna try to impress people at minesweeper, there ya go
2) The numbers in the vista version seem a bit blurry, which makes me weirded out.
