I wouldn't be surprised if the others were similar. You can only go so long until you have to take a connecting flight. Or people might be counting multiple stop-flights, though you would probably see bigger answers with that (the flight back had stopovers and took 18 hours combined, even though I believe that the jet stream is more favorable in that direction).
