also, it should be noted that in my case, thought I said the room was bright, it's actually pretty dim since there's only the one lightbulb for it. But, it's not like I'm sitting in the dark.

My room is always bright unless I'm sleeping so that's a yes. As far as whether I'm close to the screen or not, it depends on if I'm watching on my tv or computer, but since I usually watch anime on my computer, that would be a no.

I usually have some light on, though I prefer the dark when watching things and I'm usually not far from my computer so neither.

Now that I think about the question, I remembered that I don't watch anime · · · though that when I watch some good episodes I do it with the light on and far/near from the screen.

Depends on the time. I'm always near the screen (unless I'm watching on DVD). The darkness just depends on whether or not I'm too lazy to get up and turn on a light once the sun goes down.
