... I don't really remember that, actually. But I do agree with you. Cel-animation is so much more beautiful. The only people who can pull the CGI off
other than for Meet the Robinsons are the people who made the first one, which is Pixar. (Yes. Toy Story was the first of it's kind.)
It was, and it was beautifully done. Of course, it does help that since the movie was mostly focused on toys rather than humans, it managed to avoid
Uncanny Valley for the most part (though this is apparently the reason Andy doesn't have a dad; they could animate women and children fairly well, but for some reason attempts to animate men went badly.)
