Durian is different from jackfruit. For starters, durian is "creamier".

You know, with all this talk about durians, I'm starting to consider eating durian ice cream soon. And yes, there is such a thing called durian ice cream. Heck, one variant's even in Italian gelato ice cream form.

::) You know, I knew that there are such thing as durian ice cream, and candy, and etc. :P but since ice cream is off limit to me, I might as well just go and buy a durian ^_^

Yeah, nothing beats the actual fruit.

Oooh, I do enjoy myself some good durian. But my parents rarely buy it.  Sometimes we make smoothies using the fruit.  It's an acquired taste for sure and it seems to be something you either hate or love. I was introduced to it at a relatively young age so I guess I just grew to like it.

Hmmm, I'm not a fan of fresh jackfruit. I'm allergic to it and it makes my throat close up and ugh lol, but for some reason I can eat it canned and in syrup.

I'm a big fan of lychee though! Image

If nobody can't yet convince you about the deliciousness of this fruit, probably trying out the "durian gajah," or the elephant's durian could turn you into a believer. This is the kind of durian that is swallowed in whole by an elephant, and after being ripened (and probably hormonally treated) through the animal's digestive system, is secreted out along with its feces. The resulting fruit is delicious beyond description..:) Too bad it's not as easy to come by as the luwak coffee, which has a similar story with this type of durian, since elephants are becoming increasingly rare in the country. Btw, thanks for linking back to me..!

just like Luwak!..

I doubt it's "hormonally treated" :P

Also, you could consider honey as bee puke too :x And there are a lot of things where you don't want to know how exactly it's done :x

And I'd like to see a case in DC where someone was murdered with a durian as weapon XD

I was thinking about that lmfao. Killing someone and then eating the evidence. I always thought, why not? Beat someone with a lamb shank, cook it up and then eat it or something like that lol.

And the criminals need to use mooooar bleach to clean up the blood.

We read a short story in English class where a woman killed her husband with a lamb shank, cooked it and fed it to the police force. :P

You couldn't eat the durian's shell and that's where all the blood will be. (Damn you, Wikipedia, see what you did to poor Kleene there?)

That's my whole point! You can't make the murder weapon vanish unless you eat the shell! You could, however, feed it to an elephant, then it's gone for quite some time. Afterwards you can eat it and it will be the most delicious weapon you have ever tasted.
