The animal ones are icky. The hail one might cause some property damage (I'd imagine Biblical hail would be pretty big) and I don't want to deal with that. Death of firstborn just seems kinda of sketchy.

I know to which film you mean, so you might want to read this section. Basically, the movie presents speculations and then uses them as facts as base for more speculation.
