Dark. So I can fall asleep in an instant.

I choose light. But I prefer it to be dark when I sleep. I prefer it to be lit mostly because of the reason that when it is dark it is harder on the eyes and I have bad eyesight already. Perhaps it will change when I get new glasses.

only little light passes through my room, and i would rather save energy than turning-on my uber big light...i'll just transfer to another room if i need to read a book or something else
