Some children turn into adults without ever un-learning that making a big fuss about something is the easiest way to get what you want.

The reason is because it often holds true beyond childhood.

Unfortunately, this is exactly how it happens most of the time. They learned this behavior early on: throwing a temper tantrum gets them their way, and nobody has ever tried to change that for them. They just give in to shut them up, reinforcing the behavior.

Ugh. And now you've reminded me why I hate most people.

I'm surprised that most public-facing workers are well-adjusted/God-fearing/law-abiding enough that they don't hunt these people down and murder them.

1.  Fix the lock on your room.

In my case, back when we had a neighbor with annoying kids who'd come by, if I ever locked my room the kids would cry when they realized it was locked and I was forced to open my room anyway to stop em from crying. :V

So if his family's anything like that, that wouldn't solve a whole lot.

Say that you are busy with important studying, or find some nice place you can be away from there. Or tell your parents what a good experience it would be for you to live alone, after all it is good to learn how to take responsibility for money, food and cleaning.
