What do you think you would do/or did to make baby(ies) stop

My new baby niece cries so much sometimes it annoys me, usually I just walk away and let her mother handles whatever it is....
I wanna know what everyone else would do? or did though ?

Hand him off to his parents.  When I'm the parent (say, 7-8 years from now), then I'd go with the incentive.

You can take him/her move him softly ^^ or play with him doing something new for him/her, playing with toys or stuff like that, surprise him/her. XD But let me tell you that I don't have baby sibblings and less have my own baby, but that's what I've seen incases like these (on TV XD) If that doesn't work could be 'cuz it's hungry XD

! I have literally no patience for babies, but let's see if I can try to help here. The first thing you want to do is figure out what the problem is - dirty diaper, if the baby is hungry, if she just needs some attention, if she's tired, whatever - and go from there. If there's no obvious problem, then maybe just try to hold her for awhile and calm her down. If that does nothing, her mother would probably know best what to do.

-Hit them - Absolutely not!
-Lie to them - if they can't understand what you're saying, what good will that do? Really depends on the age of the 'baby' whether this will have any effect at all, but even if they can understand you, I'm usually against lying on principle.
-Give them sleeping pills - Absolutely not!
-Leave the room and wait until they shut up - for older children that are just throwing tantrums to get their way, this is sometimes a good way to handle it. For babies? It won't make the crying stop, and if there's something wrong with the baby, it could cause big problems.
-Ignore them and keep on doing what you're doing - same as before.
-Try to soothe them with incentives - Eh, soothing works if they just need some attention, but most babies won't understand if you tell them 'if you stop crying I'll do whatever'

And this is coming from someone that doesn't typically like/have the patience for children. But I've spent a lot of time around them.
