I have an essay due tomorrow and I haven't started actually writing it (only reading the material I need to use to write it and coming up with an overall thesis). I've mostly been exhausted because my employer has had me working for the past four days straight, and every time I get home I'm too tired to do more work.

Hey, four people in my company for one module.

Guess what's not a legitimate excuse for missing a rehearsal where we're doing group lifts, ie lifts where if one person is missing the person being lifted could wind up with a cracked skull?

.... I threw up in the sink when I was about to get a bucket since I felt slightly sick I hope it's something I ate or that I'll get better very quickly since I have stuff to do at Saturday D: And one of the things is a once-in-a-year opportunity so I don't want to miss it

I dunno. It's like, guys, if the snow's not sticking then it's nothing but cold rain, and you live in Scotland so it's not like you've never experienced cold rain before.

So not my day today....
Had a hard time waking up, then had to scramble to get the blog post ready, and between that and waiting for Archi to wake up and eat it was about 2p by the time we got out of the house. Went to do something with taxes, and I ended up deciding it was taking too long so I went to the grocery (same plaza). Realized as I settled myself into the scooter-thing (because my back is upset with me again today--no idea why) that I'd forgotten the bags in the car.
Various driving issues ensued as I got the groceries all picked up, including the logistical issue that it's impossible to get anything out of the milk-and-cream cases from the scooters. Get far enough away to open the doors and you can't reach what's inside. Get close enough that you can get at stuff and you can't open the door. This was solved by another shopper being kind enough to grab things for me.
Met up with Archi and then had mishaps with the checkout. Bagger started putting things in plastic (hate plastic bags). Turned out it was just the meat. OK, that's alright. Then it turned out she put each package of meat into a separate plastic bag. I do not need 3 plastic bags! A few moments later it turned out I'd pushed forward too far and was in the way of Archi accessing the payment-processing tablet. Backed up to get out of his way and hit the cart of the lady behind me. ~_~* Fortunately she wasn't too upset.
Headed out, had a minor argument about the Redbox (I keep talking about renting something to watch, but he apparently forgot I have classes and won't have time to watch anything). Sent him off to get the car, along with most of the bags, while I went to return the scooter.... on which the battery was dying. Rapidly.
I got to the 'In' door with the scooter...and then it died right in the middle of the doorway. ~_~* Leaving me stuck blocking the door. Fortunately someone went and got a clerk, so one clerk brought the last bag to the car for me and another wrestled the scooter out of the doorway (I didn't stay to watch, though).
Dropped off groceries at home, then headed to the mall. Traffic was awful, which is unusual for late afternoon on a Tuesday. Lots of stupid drivers, too. Poked around the craft shop for a bit, then wandered a few other places and decided we were out of time and I needed food before class. Nothing in the mall appealed, except the sit-down places we didn't have time for. So I got a snack at Starbucks.
Archi pulled up to the entranceway of the building where my classes are held, and I went to get out of the car. The wind had picked up quite a bit, though, so this was actually rather difficult. After 3 or 4 tries, I got the door to stay open long enough for me to stand up... and then the wind blew it partly-shut on me (so I got squished between the car and the door) and at the same time snatched my hat! My favorite hat blew out into the city's busy main drag. D: Fortunately someone crossing the street grabbed it for me.
Class was mostly OK, except for the teabag that exploded in the microwave....
Send me home. Put me to bed. I have had enough. ~_~* Please make tomorrow better! Blast it, I still need to make lunch for tomorrow. ~_~*

My friend swerved to avoid a deer on the road this past weekend as she was coming BACK HOME and was in a head-on car crash. died on the spot, age 21.

And it sucks because life won't stop around me so I have to pretend it was no big deal

You don't have to pretend it was no big deal - your friend died, it's completely normal to grieve.  *hugs*
