I think the importance of tea is pretty clear
We don't want the troops to faint just before the deciding battle. Or worse, in the middle of it
So, tea is of great importance, as some of our troops basically run on tea.

In case you didn't notice, nom is a member of the JDC. And she obviously needs tea in order not to faint, which means she also needs it for fulfilling her task(s), which is why I have to make sure there is enough of it. If you, for example, would faint if your bars weren't blue enough, I'd go to similar lengths in order to ensure we have enough blue paint ready

The current amount is 12970kg. Assuming you get to eat 10% of it (1297kg), and you eat 1kg per day (which is a lot!), you'll have enough for nearly 4 years.
