. My dad's been there before and he said the people were nice and friendly. No idea from any sort of personal experiences what so ever. History's a little hazy in my head but it was one of the most interesting to read about (i.e from what little I have actually read).
I'm not American (though I've lived in good 'ol California for six or seven years). Am an Indian by blood and skin (but certainly not by any other accounts, really). English is a second language to me, but I treat it as my first. My mother tongue is Tamil which I seldom speak in but am fluent at. I also know Hindi to a certain level. I did learn german at primary school and to this day I think it's a groovy language with many similarities with English
