Man why do they tell you to eat good if they make the prices so high for natrual foods >.<

They're pricier because they're less common and they don't grow nearly as well.  That is, of course, assuming you mean "organic" foods.  Because they can't use genetic engineering or chemicals and all that stuff, the "organic" foods are subject to a lot more diseases and pests than other foods.

And on that note, saying that genetic engineering  isn't "organic" is stupid... actually using the term organic to describe foods that are "natural" is also stupid.

Man  :o I didnt know this

Well everyone that knows me knows I eat Healthy natrualy. I cant eat that many sweets but that meens I need more suger so somerimes I like a spoonful of huney. YuM ^-^

Since we're on the topic, I'm fond of In n Out!  ;)

What the heck is "In n Out"? I've never heard of it.....

The only place that's anything like fast food that I like is Braums. It only really exists in Oklahoma so that all outlets are withing a short distance of the central farm (thus no need to cryofreeze and microwave food) and they actually prepare the food in the place, so it's not really fast food. But they do amazing milkshakes and chips.

Oh...that would explain why I haven't heard of them. I live in the northeast (New England) and have for...almost 20 years now. I did live in Texas for a bit when I was little (about '89 to '91) but we lived just outside of Dallas, and that was quite a while ago.

I think I heard of in in out before but don't know where still my favorite place to eat is logans back in Texas and this is one of the places that helps that phrase "everything is bigger in Texas" they have good prices good food and give large meals. I honestly Hate stereotypes though why does every one think we ride horses and kill everything a friend even asked if it is true that they give out guns at the bars that annoyed me, but he was just joking anyway.

Yes, and then there's the whole:  riding horses everywhere, cowboy hat and boots all the time.

It annoys me, too.

*shrug* Everyone else seems to say that it's always cold up here and that we talk to fast and are very 'cold' personality-wise. Actually it gets pretty warm in the summer, though I agree that winter is rather cold. We talk at a normal rate, people from the South talk really slow. (It is scientificly proven that people from the South talk slower--if I remember correctly it's like 60-80 words per minute compared to about 120 words per minute here in New England.) As for 'cold' personalities? We open up when we're truly sincere about it.

What other stereotypes are there for different areas, and what is the actual truth?

Stereotypes I can debunk for Scotland:

We are not all ginger. It's not that common a hair colour.

We do not all wear kilts. Some people wear them for formal occasions like weddings, but that's about it.

Haggis is revolting. Most people only eat it for Burns Night, and even not then.

Bagpipes are not the only instrument, nor even a common one, and most people don't like them.

I'll give you whiskey, but that's because prior to the invention of central heating, beer tended to freeze most of the year.

Yes, there are sheep in the highlands. No, we do not all shag them.

wow, you live in the bay area and u've never eaten at In n Out? omg, go now please and try it out.

Regarding stereotypes - every place has it, you can't escape it :/  And yeah, I was in Dallas just a couple days ago switching flights, and omg - the food there is freakin huge.  Even the airport is ginormous! 0_0

I have to say that compared to Europe, food in America is huge EVERYWHERE. I went to the cinema twice the last time I was in the States, in seperates states, and both times the small popcorn was the same size as a large at my nearest cinema. Also, I had pancakes at various breakfast bars and hotels; each time, my brother, my mother and I all ganged up on a stack, and we never finished a whole stack. I had to always get food in small or even kiddy portions if I hoped to finish a meal. It's not a regional stereotype, and it's true. American food is BIG.

Yeah, saw more of them than i'm used to as well. A not entirely unjustified stereotype. I can also confirm that while not all American tourists are ignorant and obnoxious, when I was a tour guide at the Palace the most obnoxious and ignorant tourists that I did encounter were American. (actual exchange: "So where did they eat when it rained?" "Sir, the Great Hall lost its roof in the fire of 1749. The Palace was only inhabited up until the late 1600's." "Yeah, but where did they eat when it rained?" "The Great Hall was used for dining when the Palace was inhabited." "Didn't they get wet? And there ain't any glass in these windows either!" *I resist the urge to facepalm, in the name of good customer service and generous tips*)
