And anyway, first and foremost, it's a matter of taste. If you don't like ShinRan, that's perfectly acceptable, but don't try to call the people who do stupid. It's canon. It's proven. They love each other. Get over it and ship your pairing with your fellow shippers and the leave the ShinRaners alone.
And saying that Shinichi wouldn't run off to cases if he loved Ran so much is absolutely false. Remember that Shinichi is a teenage boy and teenage boys in general are prone to being impulsive. So yes, if he was following something he was genuinely interested in, he would run off. It's perfectly in character for him.
@CSW: She's being hypocritical and ranting about other people not liking her pairing while not seeing their side of it and not seeing that, in fact, the canon pairing is canon and therefore is more likely to happen than hers. Conia is just pointing that stuff out. You need to get over it, too.
