What video games are you currently playing?

Because the ending for FFXIII just screams "this is not the end!", square enix decided to include a novel with the Ultimate Collection version of FFXIII. I mean how could they just leave those two girls like that? Episode I, in a way, is an epilogue for the game. I said 'in a way' because the ending for this short novel just shouted louder that "this is not the end, and there should be a sequel!" You'll see what I mean after reading it hehe. [/spoiler]

@Shira: I agree with you. Havin' tons of fun with this game and Zack's character too . I think I'm on chapter 8 now. aww man..i have to finish this before the day ends...

Just finished Fable 2 and 3 last November.

And I just started playing Final Fantasy XIII and Crisis Core for the winter break. Also, a little Rock Band 3 and Black Ops here in there.

I've only finished FF XIII so far, and as many have said - it IS like an endless hallway XD. But who cares? I'm only in for the ride because of the story and the gorgeous cutscenes hahaha. Oh, and I also enjoyed its gameplay despite the linear map. I had fun frantically switching paradigms in the boss battles. You guys should try it and go crazy with the paradigm switching too .

As for FF: Crisis Core, I'm really enjoying both the story and the gameplay (leveling up that is all up to luck? oh yeah! XD). I think I'm starting to like Zack more than the emotastic Cloud. Aww you're so cute Zack! Now, I have to finish this game before the start of classes this coming Monday hehe. C'mon, me! go, go, go!

@ranger: yeah, the camera is full of ****. I really want to play the game, but every time I play it, I get a headache after 30 minutes of gameplay. Really, I love the concept, the look, the art design, but that camera really ruins it for me. Darn you camera! Although Epic Mickey isn't really a big hit, I still adore Warren Spector and his works

Fable is pretty 'meh' after the first one came out.  Peter Molyneaux is just full of crap; every new game he makes, he promises these awesome gameplay mechanics which just turn out to be shit.  I played the 2nd, it wasn't a bad game but it wasn't superb either.  I didnt even bother with the 3rd.

I'm actually not a big fan of Warren Spector, I like a lot of games that borrowed concepts from his work, but none of his games really...The new Deus Ex looks very nice, and Bioshock 1 was superb (from his System Shock)

I still need to finish the new Professor Layton and Uncharted 2 :/

Still, I enjoyed Fable 3 because I liked being the queen hahaha. BTW, does anyone still remember Milo? Peter's creepy Kinect game that somehow makes me think of Kinectimals now.

Yeah I remember, Milo and Kate; I did a research paper on this game/Kinect for visual pattern recognition; it was pretty funny because by the time I turned it in the game was canceled LOL   It wasn't too creepy, it was just merely a tech demo-game really.

I'm not a big fan of kinect/ gimmicky wii-like copies :/  If i want to play a video game, give me a controller, don't expect me to be flapping around with my arms to try and shoot or jump over something.

Man, 2011 is going to be one epic ass year for gaming...I mean it's even spread out pretty evenly.  2010 was a damn good year as well, as with 2009.  Dragon Age 2 and Marvel vs Capcom 3 to start off the year, pure win I luv me some Dragon Age (i loved the first one and really anything bioware has made recently)

Have you guys played Mass Effect 2 yet? All the game sites are spazzing over it ME 2 and Red Dead Redemption. I want to know if ME 2 is really that good to attract so much attention from the crowd. I haven't even played the first Mass Effect so I don't really know how playing the game feels like. Many say its so immersive...hmm.

I got Mass Effect 2 during launch day, and just beat the game today.


So sick, pretty much game of the year for 2010 is already decided, and it's only been one month.

No I wasn't able to play because I couldn't get into E3 >_< lol I'm not part of the press or anyone important (as of yet..bwahaha)

[spoiler=My thoughts on the story]I thought it made a lot of things, particularly Fang's and Vanille's side of the story, make a lot more sense. Playing the game again, knowing the back story, I got so much more out of the subtle hints and interactions between the characters. I still thought it was somewhat predictable, and the formula too similar to FFX. But yes, that story is definitely more like a prequel rather than a sequel.[/spoiler]

I'm over 9 hours into Golden Sun DS. It's awesome but it feels like it's barely started. I hope that means the game HAS barely started and not just some dissappointing Layton-esque "half of the plot is in the last couple of hours" bullcrap.
