Not that roughly four-fifths of the awesomeness in HG/SS isn't just shinied-up awesomness from Gold/Silver/Crystal Well, there isn't a better gen to start playing with, though I have to warn you that the internal batteries in Gameboy cartridges do tend to run out after about ten years; I had a heartbreaking day recently where I turned on my old Gold game, and found that my save file was gone, complete Pokedex and all D: Best to check how old that game is ^_^;

Some cousins came over for the holidays and gave me their Silver and SS. I've never been more thankful.

What I'm playing:  Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep.  Finished Aqua's story, working on Terra's.

I've been playing some WoW lately thanks to one of my friends giving me one of those reactivation trials for a couple of days, just to see why everyone is going crazy over the new expansion pack.

TBH, it's not that much better, it's still the same old stuff.  There's a couple of cool things, but WoW is still boring to me :/I think I'll uninstall it now lol

Oh, I used to love that, but then my cousin borrowed it while I was visiting, and then I forgot to pick it up before I went home... since we live on different continents, I can't really pop over and pick it up again.

Epic Mickey. So far I'm getting kind of a Banjo Kazooie feeling from the game which is definitely a good thing.

Heard the cameras were utter crap in the game, also the guy who made it, Warren Spector, was defending how hard it is to make a working 3d camera or something.

Just finished Fable 2 and 3 last November.

And I just started playing Final Fantasy XIII and Crisis Core for the winter break. Also, a little Rock Band 3 and Black Ops here in there.

I've only finished FF XIII so far, and as many have said - it IS like an endless hallway XD. But who cares? I'm only in for the ride because of the story and the gorgeous cutscenes hahaha. Oh, and I also enjoyed its gameplay despite the linear map. I had fun frantically switching paradigms in the boss battles. You guys should try it and go crazy with the paradigm switching too .

As for FF: Crisis Core, I'm really enjoying both the story and the gameplay (leveling up that is all up to luck? oh yeah! XD). I think I'm starting to like Zack more than the emotastic Cloud. Aww you're so cute Zack! Now, I have to finish this game before the start of classes this coming Monday hehe. C'mon, me! go, go, go!

@ranger: yeah, the camera is full of ****. I really want to play the game, but every time I play it, I get a headache after 30 minutes of gameplay. Really, I love the concept, the look, the art design, but that camera really ruins it for me. Darn you camera! Although Epic Mickey isn't really a big hit, I still adore Warren Spector and his works

Omg. I love the game play of FFXIII too! Switching paradigms is so much fun. And the graphics were amazing. And so was the music!

As for Crisis Core, my friend lent his to me a little over a year ago and I thought it was a really good game (the parts that I did get to play, at least). I didn't get to finish it though. It's partly why I want a PSP. Hope you have better luck than I did at finishing the game before having to stop (my friend left for another state and took his PSP with him ).

Crisis Core a really fun play. It has a good gameplay and graphics were awesome. It's plot is quite good as well.

Since I'm a big fan of the Final Fantasy franchise, I want to play FFXIII, too bad I don't have the console to play it with.
