I'm probably going to be playing through Pokemon Gold (the original) soon... because my old cart, the one with 251 POKEMON, EIGHTEEN OF THEM AT LEVEL 100, CAN NO LONGER HOLD A SAVE FILE! IT DELETED MY GAME AND CANNOT SAVE A NEW ONE! CAPS LOCK CANNOT FULLY EXPRESS MY RAGE!

I'm gonna get a new cart off Amazon, after my birthday, when I have cash. Then i'm going to have the mother of all nostalgia trips.

Same thing happened to my mum when she played Zelda II, she was just going to defeat the final boss, after that she never touched a videogame again, and that happened when I was ten perhaps..

too lazy to change my party and since I didn't get the fire starter, there are like 2 fire Pokemon in Johto. (now that I think about it, there needs to be more fire Pokemon and less water Pokemon)


also I try to make sure none of the Pokemon are too leveled up and all get a chance to kill the Elite Four (and everyone else in the game) so that makes it more difficult. (otherwise Noctowl and Ampharos would probably get me to Bruno in record time)

Current party: Level 47 Meganium, Level 46 Poliwhirl, Beedrill (who sucks 95 percent of the time but I couldn't find a Fire Pokemon replacement in time and False Swipe is too valuable for Pokemon catching), Ampharos, Noctowl and that traded Onyx you can get in Violet City.

You could always get a Ponyta off your Pokewalker... that was what I did. Gyarados (which I adore and ALWAYS have in my party) can also learn Flamethrower and Fire Blast. Your Ampharos can learn Fire Punch, too, and Noctowl can actually learn Heat Wave via the Move Tutor.

You could also use flying moves, Forretress' bug half being weak to them, but given that its other half is steel fire is really the best bet.

I do agree that, given how powerful and useful they are, there are far too few fire types in existance; I mean, I can fill two boxes with water types in my PC, but I can't even get twelve fire types, not including legendaries. Need moar fire plz.

I beat Lance in perhaps the most epic way possible. I stopped caring about grinding and just wanted to beat the Elite Four and Champion already and it took me a bit to get to Lance but I did with all of my Pokemon fully healed but only 2 hyper potions, 1 max potion, 1 full restore, 1 revive and 2 max revives worth mentioning.

I lost to Lance over and over again (mainly because Dragon Pokemon are unfair and the Full Restore ruins a lot of my strategies) so I changed some held items and gave Onyx Dragon Pulse JUST FOR THIS ONE BATTLE. I started with Meganium and killed Gyrados with Frenzy Plant (but also used Light Screen in between), killed Charizard with Poliwhirl's Surf (and got Hydro Pump to replace Rain Storm after leveling up). Then the first Dragonite appeared so I used my Ampharos strategy of Attract and hoping it also gets paralyzed by hitting me (and thankfully none of the 3 Dragonites decided to use Safeguard this time). After beating each Dragonite I would use Beedrill to hopefully use Flash enough times and once that failed for the third Dragonite I essentially sacrificed Onyx to get an attack or two in and Noctowl to revive Ampharos and Meganium. Than I finally beat the 3rd Dragonite with my Ampharos strategy and switched to Poliwhirl to Hydro Pump Aerodactyle. The first time it misses but the 2nd time it hits and is THIS close to beating him. Which means he uses the Full Restore and kills Poliwhirl before I can kill him with Surf. He also kills my Ampharos since it was paralyzed. Finally Meganium uses Frenzy Plant with only 2 PP left (Aerodactyle has pressure and I lacked too much hp) and wins. Holy shit that was difficult.

Go Slider! Lance is tough to fight the first time. I beat him easily now, but that's the power of a level 100 Charizard with Dragon Claw XD (yeah, that's not spammy at all...) Keep going, Slider!

so basically I have an N64 at my dad's place which I go to every other weekend so I decided to beat Bomberman 64 again (and next time I plan on finally getting ALL of the gold cards). It's bad enough that the mid-boss of Black Fortress is so damn annoying (although ironically when I tried to beat the boss ASAP instead of trying to get the other 4 gold cards I got 4 cards out of 5. Weird.) but then I had to do the level afterwards and get all of the gold cards twice (since I got a game over once). It took me hours of failures and somehow not finding obvious exits and stuff and I was at the last room with 0 lives. I didn't realize that I had to go around as there was a hole you couldn't even see in the middle of the room. I just turned it off and went to bed.
