Post by Toddler Naruto »

Note: Please discuss/post the most recent game you completed, score it out of 10, and share your comments/thoughts about your experience playing it.

I'll start us off ^_^.

Jak II HD (PS3) - 8/10.

I'm glad I don't have to fight Metal Kor again, took me several hours to finally defeat him.

Pikmin 3 - 9/10

I've enjoyed the mission mode more than I expected. And that it's borderline impossible to get gold ranks on anything beyond the first mission of these modes. I should really play it on co-op sometime. Speaking of which, the multiple partners thing feels useless to me outside of co-op. Your characters are seperate and their Pimmin can do things but they're still mostly just standing around so co-op is clearly the way to go. Makes me hope 4 has it. 3 was a bit too easy at points in the main story but otherwise was probably the best balanced game in the series so far.

Pokémon Emerald, 10/10

(Having my childhood back.) I have only played two Pokémon games: FireRed and Emerald. This is because I only have a GBA emulator installed in my phone, and it cannot process any other emulators apart from that. Since I am not even a bit qualified as a legitimate "gamer", I give the mentioned game a 10, because of the interesting terrain and plot.
Our achievements should not see the light of day; but our failures will become widely known.

Final Fantasy XII on PS2,
Remembered i had the game and that i never finished it, went back and did just that... well the story gameplay, still didn't finish the sidequests and Haunts

I freaking ADORE IT!! Score would be 8/10!

Though alot of peaple diss it, but then again people diss almost about anything, so yeah

One thing i absolutely loved about it that was diffrent, is the lack of a Romance in the story! ( at least as a main focus )

The story may not be as complicated as 13 but i just ADORE Military and political plots ( even if i don't understand half of those, they are still interesting ) And it was simple i LOVE simple! what's wrong of having a straightforward plot?

Though indeed two of the Main Characters (Vaan and Penelo, a.k.a. the Orphans) pretty much don't have a reason to be on the Journey unlike the rest 4 (Baltheir, Fran, Ashe, Bash ) i still loved those two Orphans the MOST! they were the most entertaining to play/watch ^_^ ! And i admit, i played favourit and had the two orphans at least 20 levels ahead of the rest! and Ashe being 20 below the rest! I just don't like her type of Character, the Princess... in general BUT i didn't hate her enough to skip all her cutscenes...Doesn't mean i have to deal with looking at her as i gamed too!
Thoouuugh, that proved to be stupid and came and Bit me in the rear when i got into tough Bosses/Haunts Tehe ^^;

The World....was... I'm speachless! if there is absolutely nothing you love about the game, you still will love just for the soul reason that it has that thing called "Ivalice"! How can you say No to Playing in THAT!
At times I'd day-dream about being their in real life, DID YOU SEE IVALICE?? It's Dreamy! Amazing! I just ... Uh @_@

and the battle system! People don't seem to like it, but for a non-gamer, because they suck so badly that they never finished any game but Shadow the hedgehog I dunno how many years ago, it sure was nice and easy to handle!

So yes, if you still stored your PS2 and can find the game some how, go play it now! if for nothing more than Ivalice!

All Hail Ivalice! -I forgot if they had a special scream in the game, but i don't think so, so steal it from All Hail shadow!- Man that's been sooooooo long since i played Shadow, somehow I'm feeling Nostaligic, maybe its time a retake out my Ps2 and Shadow? ^_^

Yes i suck at gamin, no matter how many games i try my best at , i never finish them, either get stuck on 'bosses', or on 'How to get past this stage!' Thus i value any game i can finish highly x)

I just beat Beyond Two Souls earlier today and OH MY GOD IT'S SO BAD.
I can't believe I spend 60 dollars plus tax on this crap.

Admittedly it's beautiful and all, but the thing is long and boring and the story drags on and on. At its best, the game is pretentious, and at its worst, it's just outright annoying.
Beyond Two Souls tries to be so many and it doesn't do one thing right. The plot is bad, the storytelling is bad, the characters are bland, the world is beautiful but not interactive, the gameplay is broing. Stealth is stealthy, action isn't actiony, and horror isn't horror.
Beyond got really mixed reviews - some people loved it, some didn't. I'm one of the latter.
I would say don't waste your time, but a lot of people are curious in it, so play it. I hope your experience is better than mine.
