For the Most Missed Member, we need to make some ground rules. For veteran members, they can only "miss" someone who wasn't active for 6 months, and for new members, they can only miss someone who hasn't been active for......3 months.....?
Dunno, need to work it out.

So this is the list I have now:

1) Favorite Member
2) Funniest Member
3) Favorite Thread
4) Favorite Board
5) Favorite Crack Couple
6) King/Queen of GD
7) King/Queen of OT
8) Most Missed Member
9) Most Random Member

Comments? Disagreements?

We can have a tenth award too. Something Akonyl posted in the first page - Most Meaningless Award, we could have that, or something else inspired by this thread - "The Award that should have been in the List but didn't get in because Kor is a Jerk"
Or one of the other awards that was suggested, but for that I'll probably make a poll.

How about "Most Impressionable Member"? Like...the first post made by that person (or rather, the first post you ever saw by that person) you remember, and you remember it well?

As Kaito Lady is going to be gone when these awards are announced, If I might suggest, that we give her some kind of honorable award something like the person most missed, but will return, or even just a honorable mention for some kind of award.
She touched the hearts and minds of many and will be missed by quite a few more.

That's true. KL is really is a valued forum member and be missed terribly by so many DCTP members including myself. However, she's not going to be gone forever so maybe a better idea would be something done like a DCTP community wide send-off. Well, actually, at this point it would be a belated one.

She's only going for a few months, so I don't really see the point. The whole "touched the people" part - isn't that also one of the reasons of the "most missed" award anyway?

Perhaps it might be interesting to have awards for two opposites. Of course, we don't want a Least Favourite Member, but what about a Most Serious Member (as opposed to funny) and a Most On-Topic Member (as opposed to random)? Or, to give another example (of awards for which the results are clear anyway XD), Most Innocent Member as opposed to Most Perverted Member.

Also, a few other ideas I had:
Most Funny Thread and Most Creepy Thread (and possibly others as well), both of which were suggested for topic-starters, which would be problematic, but I see no reason to not apply them to threads. Also, as this is a DC forum, I'd suggest a Biggest DC Fan Award.

On the other hand, I don't think we need a Favourite Board. There are only three candidates anyway - Forum Games, Off-Topic and General-Discussion - and all the other boards (except perhaps Soapbox and Kaitou Kid) don't stand a chance anyway - after all, who would vote for "Issues & Suggestions", "Media" or "Affiliated Releases" (And how many were actually aware of the last board to begin with? )?
