Re: The Great DCTP Lottery (Ends December 25th!): Propositio
Random curiosity, and I want to see if anyone has anything theories: a new thread has been started (and locked, to avoid being posted in, I assume) for the lottery topic. It'll open on Dec. 15. I just wanna know what you guys think about this and how it might relate to a proposition, in your opinion.
(I was going to post here which proposition/s that might fall under but I can now no longer find the post where Jd- listed which propositions would happen when, so if someone wants to point me in that direction, I'll link it here.)
Edit: Thanks to Jd- for pointing me in the right direction. <3
Anyway! Dec. 15 is the end of Proposition #8 and the beginning of Proposition #9. I would lean toward it having to do with #9, but it could easily have something to do with the results of #8, so we can't rule that out as an option.
Thoughts, anyone?
Edit edit: Thinking about it, it could have to do with any of the propositions before #8 as well, I just thought it would be more likely that it would have to do with whatever propositions were beginning and ending that day. So feel free to chime in with theories on this as well.

Re: The Great DCTP Lottery (Ends December 25th!): Propositio
Proposition #6 (December 12th-13th, 2010) — COMPLETE
Brief: Another opportunity for a user to leave the game has been presented, but with the outcome affected by the follow-up proposition as well.
Proposition: The Judge can now exonerate one user from a pool of four selected by them.
The Judge Role
This role allows the Judge to exonerate one player from the game.
Someone has now been drawn to assume the Judge role. This is a permanent role, meaning they are no longer eligible for future roles that will come up in the contest.
This is known as a secret role. Your identity will not be revealed to the public.
THE JUDGE'S RULES (assuming no penalties)
- Your first task is to select four eligible players (those that have posted in either the official or unofficial lottery topics).
- Of those four players, one will randomly be chosen to be exonerated and become ineligible to receive the prize. The player exonerated will no longer be eligible for roles or to be a target by other roles.
- The three remaining players will receive +10 tokens.
- If a decision is not submitted by the deadline, a default penalty will be assessed. The Judge will receive +5 tokens while three randomly selected eligible players will receive +25 tokens and no player will be exonerated.
Results: The Judge has accepted the proposition and chosen users hopelessidiot, Shin101, alicetama, and OfficialConan. One was randomly selected to be removed from the game, while the remaining three were awarded +10 tokens.
Proposition #7 (December 13th-14th, 2010) — COMPLETE
Brief: One participant from the four selected by the Judge has been exempt from the game.
Proposition: One further participant may now be exempt from the game, from the three remaining from Proposition #6.
The Delegate Role
The Delegate's role involves expanding on the choices and outcome made in Proposition #6 (which are thus far unannounced).
Someone has now been drawn to assume the Delegate role. This is a permanent role, meaning they are no longer eligible for future roles that will come up in the contest.
This is known as a secret role. Your identity will not be revealed to the public.
THE DELEGATE'S RULES (assuming no penalties)
- In Proposition #6, the user assuming the Judge role chose four users. One of those four was randomly selected to be exonerated from the game. The other three received +10 tokens.
- The three remaining users are hopelessidiot, Shin101, and alicetama.
- All three now have +10 tokens as a result of the last proposition. You now have the opportunity to either halve that amount to only +5, or instead exonerate one further player of your choice from the three but at the cost of doubling the remaining users' tokens from the last proposition to +20.
- OPTION 1: Halve the amount of tokens the remaining players received last proposition from +10 to +5.
- OPTION 2: Choose one user from hopelessidiot, Shin101, and alicetama to be exempt from the game. The remaining players' tokens from the previous proposition will be raised to +20.
- If a decision is not made by the deadline, a default penalty will be assessed. You will receive +5 tokens, while all three remaining players will see their tokens from the previous proposition doubled and no user will be removed from the game.
Results: The Delegate has accepted the proposition and chosen Option 2. The Delegate has selected one user to be exempt from the game.
