I can't remember if I posted in this topic before, but I am surprised at how many of you have superbly neat desktops. I would equate it to cleaning up before a family get-together. :P Fear not, because while my new computer is kept squeaky clean, my old ones were a mess. Every single desktop icon slot was filled probably 3 times over (my only means of checking my desktop was to use Windows Explorer--no joke!). Mind you, this was during my mental fansubbing days so I had to keep things in reach at all times. I resigned myself to no more of that funny business this time around, and here we have arrived.

Kidding. I would only do that for a Vanquish. Which is ironic. Somewhat. :-*

Honestly, I can't wait until the semester is over so I can move to Windows 7 and clean up all the unnecessary stuff I have (can't currently, since we can't use it to connect online at school).

I HATE putting anything on my desktop. All my program icons are in the quick launch toolbar. And the files in the desktop are either the ones that I neglected removing, recently downloaded files, in need of my attention, needs to be in the desktop to work(epsxe..don't ask, long story), and that freaking bluetooth icon that I cannot seem to delete  >:(

I have a neat desktop because I love ShinRan36's wallpapers and I don't like cluttering them up. Everything's in the start menu XD

You do not have any icons on it? Is this possible?
If  ;), :D, ;D, ::), :P, :-X, :o or >:D are attached, that paragraph may not be 100% serious. Seriously.

as uman said, it's probably just the image (as he doesn't have a taskbar either), but yeah it's possible to have no icons on your desktop.

Although in XP at least, you had to edit the registry to let windows allow you to take the Recycling Bin icon off the desktop.

Yes, the recycling bin was the one surprising me. But the taskbar can be made invisible.
