Latin was the language of the Roman Empire and is the language from which many modern European languages derive. It is not used as a daily language in any country anymore, and so is classified as a dead language, but for a long time was used as the language of the clergy and nobility in several countries, and directly Latin words still crop up in areas such as music and law.

It's a crazy-ass language. Anybody else see Eddie Izzard's rant about it?

Didn't I just explain it? -.-*
The gender of the user is irrelevant, only the thing he refers to is important. So, unless you want to say that you're the same person as that poster, you shouldn't use it. Therefore, if you, being female, wrote "Eadem Kaito Lady", it'd mean that you are Kaito Lady (or that your post is Kaito Lady, which makes even less sense). If you refer to a post, no matter what gender you are or what gender the person that posted that post is, it's always the neuter form, i.e. "idem", because the post itself is neuter.

It's still one of the two official languages of the Vatican City (the other one being Italian) :P
If  ;), :D, ;D, ::), :P, :-X, :o or >:D are attached, that paragraph may not be 100% serious. Seriously.

The Vatican City hardly counts, it only exists because the Pope didn't want to pay taxes :P
