I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

My best friend's boyfriend traded me a Zorua, which I'd been really wanting, and because I'd offhandedly commented that I would like a female one, he hatched FIFTEEN eggs to get a female. I think I would actually have to steal him from my friend if my friend wasn't also a guy.

My best friend apologized to me that she hadn't finished my "welcome back home" present because I'm home early, because apparently she is hand-drawing me a poster featuring all of my favourite manga characters ♥

That's bull.
The Latin word for pirate is pirata. The Scots of yore were pirates though.

The older gaelic tribes were cattle raiders, but isn't a seafaring component necessary to go from raiders to pirates?

Hrmm. The etymology website I read said that "Scoti", the Latin word in question, was created by the Romans as a term for the violent northern tribes and had connotations of piracy. Further investigation on Wikipedia's etymology section says that the origin of the word is unclear, but that it may come from the Gaelic Scuit, meaning "a man cut off" and used in general to mean wandering raiders, or the Greek skotos (σκότος) meaning "darkness". Either is kinda cool.

Alos, just going "that's bull" is kinda rude, you know. I didn't say I made it up out of the air, and I thought it was really cool when I read it. :(

Anyway, today's awesome: I went outside at midnight and the sun still hadn't set. There was still this kind of golden sliver along the northwest horizon, heading towards the east. I freaking love this country in the summer.

I'm sorry for crushing your dreams and joyous fantasies. And Scottish pirates are cool.

I'm very happy right now because THREE of my fics have been recced on tvtropes, Psychology Revision, A Phantom Thief and When Pandora's Box Is Opened, with a note for the last saying "one of the most epic, heartwrenching Detective Conan/Magic Kaito fics ever" ♥ Explains the sudden spate of new WPBIO reviews I've been getting. *Happy Dances*
