What's on your mind?

If you have some randomness to share that you can't post elsewhere, this is the place to do it.

President Koivisto's funerals are today. He was Finland's ninth president.

No, from tv. As I wasn't even born during his time in office and thus know practically nothing of him and his politics, I didn't see the need. I did watch it all from the television though.

I'm in my prom party but I'm more worried about spoilers for file 994 than about anything around me.

We're trying to form a group of players for a gaming session in a 2003 Star Wars game called Jedi Academy. Its multiplayer has a very fun Siege mode in which players split to two teams, one of which is meant to attack and accomplish specific objectives (before the time limit) in order to advance in the map and win, while the other team needs to defend and obstruct the attacking team.
There are different units with different weapons/abilities, and you're free to play as whichever one you want (and switch mid game if you so desire). The basic function is that after a match is over, the teams switch roles, so everyone gets to play everything. Afterwards it changes to the next map.

Players list so far:
Kor
Shadow
d6nny
Stopwatch
maanu123 (from reddit)

The game can be purchased via GoG or on Steam for a very cheap price (currently it's on sale). It also comes with a full fledged single player story.

If you're interested, let me know via post or PM and I'll add you to the list.

Update: The session will take place on Wednesday (05/31/17) at 7 PM UTC (check here what that means for you: https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/ ... T19&p1=%3A )

The game will take place in a server called DCTP which will be opened 15 minutes before the starting time.

If anyone wants to join there's still time.

Finished Kill as Directed by Ellery Queen. Nice potential start, reminded me of Christie (how she writes about the case characters at the beginning of the stories) where the author writes about the murders from the killer's perspective in her style, but after I was halfway through the story, it really felt like the creativity was gone. The first chapter for example was 17 pages long, and right after they got shorter and shorter, and near the end they were almost all like 2 pages. It felt like the author just wrote a page or two for the editor or whoever, forcefully, just so they could push the next big story out there. The big twist of the book can literally be predicted when you look at the cover page of the book. Uninspired, doesn't hold up to current standards in no way, and a freaking deus ex machina, retarded My Little Pony ending which felt completely nonsensical with the villain letting the MC stand around for no reason so that he could tell his evil plan to the MC after killing the people who manipulated the MC and in the end he had nothing, but felt like he was free stuff. Awful.

Well I didn't have that big of an expectations to begin with anyway as it was some random book. I'm willing to give Queen another try by checking out the better known titles.
