Sure.  Yep, that's basically my theory.  Jd- has been with DCTP from the very beginning.  He's built the community, nurtured it and protected it for a long time now.  In many ways DCTP is his baby, and so it makes no logical sense that he'd do anything to harm it or the DCTP community.  It just doesn't make sense to me that he'd blatantly destroy a user's account, especially on Christmas Day.  We all know Jd- loves mysteries.  He loves building suspense, and growing expectations before big community events and announcements.  I suspect that this is what is happening here and the threat of account deletion is being used to build that suspense.  I've never known him to do anything to harm the community, and so I feel confident in trusting that he will not do so now.
