I see. Some platforms, I need direct access to the database to do a name change, but then again, since I host a lot of my own stuff, I can get a name I want anyway.

Well, I just got some disappointment today, but on the bright side, I completed much of my backlog of reviews and can cover some other titles, such as the antepenultimate volume of a series I have been following for some time and the Detective Conan volume that will be released in my area in October.

Wednesday at 15 would be fine.

So basically, whatever day is cool with me and 15:00 is far more ideal for me.
Yeah there is probably no way I will ever be able to make 15:00 GMT (not if you want me even a little bit coherent), so just go ahead without me. :V

Unfortunately, my area is way behind on the cases, because we have not even had Bourbon mentioned, whereas in the Japanese releases,
Spoiler: Manga spoilers
the current mystery is the identity of the second in command of Black Org.

I wish the releases here were like the releases for the other series, which got an announcement issued that the final volume would be the 23rd volume and the 21st one is the most recent release here.

That's too bad. How about Q.E.D., C.M.B., or Tonogai's Doubt? Detective Conan is practically the only series in the same category as the first two mentioned published here. Everything else is mostly action, except for Ken Akumatsu's work and some horror titles, such as the latter title I mentioned, Tonogai's Judge, and Another, which really is the title of the work.

Speaking of Q.E.D, aren't there any projects to turn this into an anime? I recently started watching the live-action series, but there are only 10 episodes. It seems similar to DC, there is also a high school detective with a girl who he is friends with whose father is a detective like in Kogoro and Ran's case (even though Kogoro is a former policeman, not active any more).

I read some anime reviews where people said Japanese authors don't know how to write detective stories. Nonsense, in my opinion, there are too many series that really rock! Even apart Conan and Kindaichi, there is Tantei Gakuen Q, Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon, Kaze No Yojimbo (which may be kind of slow in the beginnig, but the final detective plot twist was amazing in my opinion).

I do not really think that there are any plans about there being a series. After all, seeing as how 3-4 chapter cases in Detective Conan are adapted into one single episode, I am not too sure how they would handle cases like Q.E.D., where cases go into about 100 pages each one.

As for detective stories from Japanese authors being bad, I cannot really tell if that is the truth, but Detective Conan, Q.E.D., C.M.B., and Tantei Gakuen Q all have their share of horrible cases.

Ok, so apparently last week there was a chapter 1 and 2 test for my online class, but I didn't know about it until this morning. In my defense, I didn't see any announcements or anything about it when I was doing my homework and I'm not the only one who didn't take it, so I'm blaming the professor on this one. :-X

Jecka, a curiosity, forgot to ask before: who's that character on your avatar similar to Jimsy from Future Boy Conan? Are you sure it's not him?

You misread, Sergio. Go through it again. Jecka's was talking about a test that had not been announced.

^ This. If it was announced, then It was probably only on the syllabus.

I am. It's Kijimuna from Stitch! (the anime series based on Lilo and Stitch).

He looks kind of similar to what Jimsy would be in a moment of emotion (like when the images are deformed to express emotions, I think it's called "chibi" drawings). However, it seems that's Kijimuna's permanent form, Jimsy in his normal state looks in fact different.

Well, it's not exactly based on it...Stitch is in it, but Lilo isn't. Stitch! takes place years after Leroy and Stitch (the fourth movie), and it's in Japan instead of Hawaii.
Also there's only like 3 episodes subbed, but there is a dub, only problem is none of the original actors are in it. :X

I remember when I checked the ratings for Conan that it was in the top 10 for anime ratings fairly consistently. I didn't realize it was something other than the cartoon until now.

also, I refuse to believe there is a fourth Stitch movie

Sounds like the movies got quite bad for you to say something like that.

Anyway, it is nice to read something good, especially when an old favorite disappoints you.
