Keep an eye on that one >_>;
Outdoor cats are... insane. :-X.
Because they're stray, they sorta have their skills/whatever honed so they can survive as a stray :3.

Who knows it might carry a mice and run around your house ::)

Being indoor cats (even for most of their lives) definitely doesn't stop them from having those instincts. One of my cats attacks anything that moves... and even some stuff that doesn't, but she doesn't kill anything that she catches. She just plays with her catch til it's too dizzy to move anymore and then gets bored with it.

One of them is just pure evil and is the reason I don't like to walk around the house in the dark - and is the one that maims small animals (and me). That one has always been an indoor cat.

Since I live a bit outside of the city, there is a mouse from time to time, but they aren't smart. Either they fall to the trap, or my dog kills them.
Once, a mouse ran just near my legs, so I kicked it hard and sent it to the wall. It died right on the spot.

I thought it'd be cruel if you were doing it on purpose, since it didn't eat your food or something :P just ran near your legs XD;.

I guess I can understand. If I see a cockroach near my legs... I don't know what's going to happen to it >:D

Um, at least it died an instant death (>__<).

I have a request for anyone here who shops at Argos: If, when paying for an item, your cashier offers you insurance, do your best to buy it, will you? 'Cause if you don't, at the end of the day, the tillies might get in serious trouble from their asshole boss for not selling any insurance today. Thanks.

Hmm sounds similar to what I go through at work.  Except my bosses (for the most part) are understanding that not everyone wants credit cards and warranties and such.

I might wake up early and go running. I also might wake up and win the lottery. The odds are about the same.

Yeah, our boss can't understand that not everyone wants an Argos card either. Given how they're not too secretive about the ridiculous interest rates if you don't pay on time, is it that suprising nobody ever wants one?

And it's like that already?! Definitely not the ideal work environment. (At least my employers were secretive about how much they suck til you've been there awhile. ::) Doesn't scare off the new people as much that way.)

The guy's just an asshole. One of the other tillies got after him the other day because he was yelling at us for not selling insurance, ON THE SHOP FLOOR IN FRONT OF A QUEUE OF CUSTOMERS. Asshole. We just joke and slag him behind his back all the time.

I hate that. It's like "Really? Right in front of the customers? Way to maintain a level of professionalism, right there!" It actually reminds me a lot of one of my old supervisors that I once got into an argument with over whether or not it's my job to make my fellow employees show up for their shifts. ::)

And on the subject of work: I did have that meeting with the store manager on Saturday. And... basically it felt like nothing was accomplished. I told him what was going on, and he told me that, essentially, this is just the settling-in period for the new guy and I should give him more of a chance.

Um, what? No. This new manager has worked in this store for a little under two months (he's been in the company for two years), and has successfully destroyed everything the front end has built up over the last year and a half. He treats us like we're all idiots, and he stood there and belittled me to my face. He gets no more chances.

The store manager did say that he doesn't want me to quit, so if it doesn't get better soon, he's going to try to switch me to a different department. :-\ That's something at least. But I'm already working on that with another manager anyway.

A Dilbert cartoon referred to management as a device for getting idiots out of any productive or important jobs. I know fully believe this.

we've had him for years now, he's insane but it's the lovable type of insane and he knows where to draw the line when play fighting and such

but apparently he probably likes mice.

and to mangaluva, I'm one of those people who turns down all the offers that the clerks offer me, sorry :V
