Re: What's on your mind?
Watching this year's Tattoo in full online (I missed the end of it to get a train
) and I can't believe I forgot how awesome the Australian bit was. First an operatic version of "Waltzing Matilda", before it very suddenly turns into a disco with Kylie Minogue and Highway to Hell because Australia. I don't even know.

Reason #1 I never want to visit Israel. Should I find myself there anyway, anyone who can't demand to see my passport and asks about my nationality will be told I'm from Switzerland :xKor wrote: So here's a weird twist. My biggest "airport" problem actually happened in Israel, where one of the officers probably got freaked out because of my German accented Hebrew, so she asked me way too many questions and at a certain point it felt like she was doubting me being Jewish (otherwise asking me which holidays I celebrate while in the States is pretty weird). She even wanted my mother to show her driver's license in order to match the information in the passport.

Re: What's on your mind?
You can't really get an impression from Israel based on some freaked officer at an Israeli airport. Those people are trained to be freaked out by anything they might find suspicious. If you're worried about their treatment towards German people, then don't be, because Israel likes the European tourists and Tel Aviv is one of the most liberal cities in the world. So assuming you come as a tourist, you're not going to have too many problems being German.Callid wrote:Reason #1 I never want to visit Israel. Re: What's on your mind?
I've talked with two people from here who have been to Israel, both report a clear anti-German sentiment. So no, it's not just you're story, and I've actually held that opinion before your post :xKor wrote:You can't really get an impression from Israel based on some freaked officer at an Israeli airport. Re: What's on your mind?
I have been doing various random things around my house all day.....
Cider-san, that is a creepy sig. *blocks it because the movement is too distracting*
Of course, I've also kept thinking that today was Monday. I did my meal plan and grocery list last night, and today I did at least one of the chores I'd scheduled for Monday. Plus got laundry caught up, and cleaned out the pantry so it's nice and neat now and I can find things. I've been wanting to get dinner started since 9:30, but it's still (at 11:40) much too early to start dinner.
Maybe I can get myself un-stuck in Xenoblade... I got mad at it last time I was playing, as first I couldn't kill a boss-monster I need to kill for a quest, and then I couldn't get the crystals I needed to make the gems I need so I can kill the boss-monster....

I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.
The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

The answer is Melia. ROD, KICK. There was this amazing moment where I was dying to a boss and its minions for a half hour and then using this strategy helped me win in literally a minute.miakakiri wrote: Maybe I can get myself un-stuck in Xenoblade... Re: What's on your mind?
Boss has an aura of daze. I don't think Melia's Spear Break/Starlight Kick combo is going to help much against that... I'm a good 10 levels or so above the boss. Also I tend to use Melia as a ranged fighter rather than melee.... summon summon summon toss summon toss repeat.kkslider5552000 wrote:The answer is Melia. ROD, KICK. y'know, most times when it comes to internet bullying, I feel sympathetic to the people being bullied
but at times like these, I can't imagine how this isn't the exact situation they thought would happen.

Re: What's on your mind?
you can google Giovanna Plowman if ya want, but I won't say it directly here because there is a distinct "ew" factor with the video in question so I'll leave it up to people to google themselvesPmofmalasia wrote: ^ What is that in reference to?
