What's on your mind?

If you have some randomness to share that you can't post elsewhere, this is the place to do it.

Went to see The Hobbit today. Had few theories about how the two other movies would go but their titles proved me wrong. :(

Finally got to see Tangled because it was randomly on TV. It was awesome and I love the music and Flynn and Pascal are both awesome, but I think I'm a little traumatized by Mother Gothel because holy crap her passive-aggressive lovemanip control techniques are almost identical to my best friend's mother, who is a complete and utter b*tch and my single most hated human being alive because seriously, who tells their kid they should have aborted them if they're going to be that disobedient just because the kid doesn't want to give up the TV remote in the middle of cartoons? Seriously?

So lovely movie but simply for that Mother Gothel is now one of my top worst Disney villains.

D: Snow snow. D: Cold.... *hides from cold and snow*
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

I still haven't seen it in the high framerate. Does it really look that awesome?

I jsut saw it in 2D with my parents. After having seen in it 3D, it looked kinda... flat. Lost a lot of scale. I need a Blu-ray player in my life, because I don't think I'll be able to watch this movie on DVD, I just won't.

one thing that I really liked about the 3D in the movie was that it seemed a lot less extreme than the 3D used in most other 3D movies. It was less about the "check out our sweet 3D effects" that a lot of movies like to do, and was just more about "this is what stuff would actually look like". Some of the 3D in the previews before the movie, though...  :-X

and to be fair, having not seen the non-HFR 3D version, I don't exactly have anything to compare it to, but it did look really good. It's more noticeable during fast/action scenes, where because of the higher framerate they don't have to use motion blur as much and you can see more actual detail. I would say you could try seein it in HFR, but having already seen it twice, a third time might be a bit overkill :P

I agree about the 3D- it was used for depth and scale rather than throwing things out of the screen at you (except for that one moment with the buttons, WTF). But the Shire in the early scenes just seemed to roll on forever in the background, I found myself tilting my head to look around corners in Bilbo's house, and oh wow the Misty Mountains looked amazing. Especially the size of those rock mountains...

Just found out that, if you create a poll, you can look at the current number of votes, even if they are only published at the end of the poll :P
If  ;), :D, ;D, ::), :P, :-X, :o or >:D are attached, that paragraph may not be 100% serious. Seriously.

Why did I think it would be a good idea at this time to search 'Slenderman' on deviantart again?

Probably for the same reason that I decided to start watching my brand spanking new DVD of Black Swan at 11pm.
