Not counting the Civil War?
I was actually wondering whether 150 might be more accurate, but as miaka said, that revolution was lost and had no lasting influence (i.e. there weren't reforms or revolutions later that took up the Confederates' ideas). And I was obviously talking about successful or influential events, not ones that had no effect ::)
Not to mention it was a conservative revolution to begin with :P
Either way, we're due for another. Maybe we can get the Constitution updated...
I have finally started to actually publish my story! For the moment, expect a new chapter each month.

The Case of the Midnight Channel
"When a strange letter summons the Mouri family to Inaba, Ran is expecting a case. She's not expecting it to involve the TV, though.
If Naoto investigated everyone who came to visit Inaba, she'd have little time for real cases. When Yukiko reports that the Midnight Channel is back, however, she starts to wonder if the visitors are connected. Especially when the image clears, unveiling yet another mystery."

Short version: I'm taking various DC/MK characters to Inaba (where Persona 4 takes place) and dropping them through the TV to face their Shadows!

Apologies to all Americans on the site: I do actually know that the First Amendment is free speech and the Second is the right to bear arms. I have no idea why I typed First when I meant Second. The First is awesome.

Also, question: isn't the point of the Amendments to, you know, amend the Constitution? In case it becomes a little outdated in, say, black people being worth 3/5 of white people or the redcoats a-comin'?

So there was a dude walking around the Castle in a kilt. As always happens on these occasions, he soon attracted a flock of gawkers wanting to know why he was wearing a skirt. He had the best response I've ever heard.

"Naw, it's a kilt! Noo, if I wasnae wearin' undies, it'd be a skirt..."

Aren't kilts generally worn with nothing under them but the socks (and possibly a dirk)? I think I'm misreading the quote...

The problem is that Americans are in general far less willing to mess with the first 10 amendments, which are collectively called the Bill of Rights. Then again, the gov't doesn't necessarily have this restriction, considering things such as the Patriot Act, NDAA, and similar (which are actually in direct violation of the Fourth through Eighth Amendments).

Traditionally, nothing was worn under the kilt, mainly because underwear wasn't exactly easy to make, plus it was good for hazing rivals before battles ("GUESS WHOSE JEWELS ARE BIGGER THAN YOURS", etc). It's a common joke that nothing is worn under the kilt, but evidently some people really don't wear underwear under their kilts even at formal occasions, because a kilt-and-tux rental place I know explicitly forbids people from negating underwear when wearing their kilts.

He was just freaking those people out. It was way too cold today to be going commando :P

Sitting watching Home Alone with my flatmates earlier, because Christmas, when I realized that, while this movie is a fun romp of independence and beating up bad guys for kids, for parents it's a full-on horror movie. You forgot your child, now he is all alone with a pair of creepy adult men in a van following him...
