the bulls can beat anyone, but their offense isn't even close consistent to enough to win a 7 game series against the heat.

well, i guess they could just get lucky a few times, but it's not that likely.

Ginobili is probably the most grossly overpaid player in the league, up there with Andrew Bynum. If the Spurs axe him and place some high-potential youth onto their roster (like Leonard), they'd be far better off. SAS will have a hard time making it to the conference finals.

The Heat were looking more like the Heat tonight, but I thought the refs did a terrible job, especially in the first half. Might as well have been a 24-minute foul shootout.

Man are you purposely trying to troll me?

Godamn, Ginobili is far from the most overpaid player in the league man - you need to really look into more sources before you say shit. Some of the stuff I've seen you say is just utter nonsense. He can still be all-star quality. I'm sorry but you just really irritated me when you said that because 1. He's my favorite player of all time, and 2. it really shows how little NBA knowledge you have - Manu is at 14 million for this season, which is maybe more than he deserves due to injuries - but this contract was signed almost 3 years ago, where he won 6th man of the year, and was the Spurs leading scorer and a MVP candidate. The amount of wins he generates is amazingly high and one of the reason why the Spurs have had 50+ win seasons for like the past decade.

AND, you are going to say he's the most overpaid player in the NBA, when, for example, Corey Magguette, is getting paid 10 mil? And he's not even the worst. Hell even Stephen Jackson was getting paid 11 mil. Do you understand how stupid of a statement that was now? Just, really, look shit up dude.

They will never axe him because he's been part of our dynasty, and he's pretty much one of a kind player. Also, there's something called loyalty to a franchise, both parties (player and organization) understand that. There will never be another Ginobili, Harden is mimick but he really doesn't bring the intangibles a HoFer like Manu has.

And Warriors are damn good, I tip their hats to them. If I wany any team to beat the Spurs it would be them, bay area is amazing, best place on earth.

I'm going to predict the Spurs are going to lose this series - I've seen enough Spurs bball to see its going to take quite a lot of luck for them to win this one. The main reason is the Warriors are more athletic than them, and are excellent shooters. It'd be totally fine if was just one of the mentioned above, but since SA has to respect their jumpshooters like crazy, they overplay them, and since they are more athletic, they always get the first step on them.

It's a matter of just talent, Warriors have a lot more of it than SA, which isn't anything new - San Antonio has always been a less talented/potential team for a while due to its low draft stock. Kawhi has been the most talented player San Antonio has got since we drafted Tony Parker (hyping 2001).

Oracle arena is going to demolish the Spurs - the only way I see them winning there is if the warrior's fall cold.

I meant to say 'one of the most', and I didn't mean to offend, so take it easy. I'm familiar with his seasons. He's had some good seasons, sure, but 14 million is a lot of money. Tony Parker and TD are far more valuable to the franchise. My point being that the Spurs will be better off if they started planning for the future and finding more young talent and that's hard to do when you're paying a bench player $14 million. TD isn't going to last many more seasons and if Pop leaves as well, the Spurs are going to need a ton of talent to make up for those huge losses if they want to survive as a franchise.

The Warriors surprised me too; they have some killer young talent, but I wouldn't count out the Spurs just yet.

There are so many bad contracts in the NBA that I'd say even calling Ginobili's "among the worst" is an overstatement, but he's definitely quite a bit overpaid at this point- his offense is somewhat above average, but his defense is quite a bit below. As for his achievements, the most successful sports franchises don't show blind loyalty, rather, they're loyal to players who can continue produce at a good level.

That and Duncan is, was, and has always been the man for these Spurs teams (with I guess the exception of Robinson for the first championship).

Ginobili's contract doesn't deserve to be in the topic of being considered "bad", because he's still one of the league's prolific players.

San Antonio is actually one of the most successful sport franchises in all American professional leagues (source: ESPN http://espn.go.com/espn/story/_/id/8339 ... n-magazine). I'd definitely say Manu still produces at a good level. Anyways, his 14 mil contract is expiring this season, and he's really only playing 1-2 more years. He wants to retire in San Antonio, and he definitely would consider taking less money at this stage of his career. Plus, Spurs are actually #1 when it comes to loyalty to owner/core players (source: http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/teamran ... /own#table). I mean, I don't even need to bring up a source for this, considering the big 3 has been on San Antonio since 2002.

The Spurs would never even consider trading or scrapping Manu; if Tim is the foundation, Manu is the soul.

Also, Robinson wasn't even the man, Timmy in 1999 was the finals mvp for their first ring - just 2 years after his rookie season. Pretty freakin incredible. Duncan's actually fell off a cliff since 2007, dropping from elite to just semi-elite/good. 2008-2012 has been a combination of parker and ginobili being the man on the team. It's only this season that Duncan drank some elixir or some shit, because he looks like he's 32 again.
