Anyway, I really want to go to Bhutan some day. The monks I worked with in India were almost exclusively from Bhutan and spoke so lovingly about it. Education and healthcare are completely and utterly free, from pencils to University, from paracetamol to brain surgery. Going by their photos, the entire country is a stunning mountain vista. Their national dress is really pretty. Their national sport is archery and one of the monks showed us how he handmakes his own bows. The national religion is a unique fusion of Buddhism and old Bhutanese nature worship with some absolutely spectacular festival dances and costumes. Because the national religion is Buddhism, harming or killing animals in Bhutan is illegal and meat has to be imported. According to the monks, the king spends a lot of time on humanitarian work and turned the country from an absolute monarchy to a constitutional democracy in 2008, and is so beloved to the population of Bhutan that "is like he is father and we are all children". The country measures its growth not in GDP but "Gross National Happiness" and is in fact officially the happiest country in Asia and eighth-happiest in the world, which just sounds lovely. It sounds like a lovely place to be.

The flag has a pretty awesome-looking dragon on it, too.
That sounds AMAZING. Now I want to go there too.

For me, it would be Italy. The food! The sea! The people! The landscape and nature!

Italy is so lovely and I so want to go back. It's so beautiful, and has such rich art and culture. The entire place is so laid-back, too. And people are so friendly! The first time I went, when I was about nine, the owner of a gelateria gave my brother and I free ice cream for asking for it in perfect Italian when our parents couldn't. That has forever cemented my opinion of Italy as a wonderful country :)

To be honest, there are a huge number of places I want to go see. Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Canada, South Africa, New York, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, more India, Bhutan, Russia, Brazil... more or less everywhere, to be honest XD

I would say England (and Ican't tell about the whole United Kingdom since I've never been to Wales, or North Ireland, and been for an afternoon in Endimburgh does not really count as Scotland xD).

I feel safer there, more than I have ever did in France, people don't leer at you when you're wearing short things (I have right to party, thank you very much!), drunk people don't bother you, and fake homeless don't harass you in the street saying they don't have money, when they're wearing clothes more expensive than yours!

The people are mostly lovely, they are ready to help you carry a suitcase down or up the stairs in train stations or the undergound!
I felt that the "immigrant" population was much more integrated from what I've seen in my country. The weather isn't that bad in the North (apart from short days). The clothes are way less expensive, and completely crazy!

I know England has flaws, but overall I feel like a country of chill people is nice!

You know, until about a year ago, I didn't think I like Israel, but now I actually do. Yeah, it has its many problems, but that also makes it so interesting. Oh, and I'm probably biased as well :P

As far as other countries, I really like Germany. It's much more tolerant now than other European countries and it seems safer to me than let's say France. Also I adore the nature and the sights. For that reason, I also like Austria, but mostly as a vacation spot.
