and you can load OS X on a PC as well, so that doesn't exactly sway the argument either way

besides, this topic was "Microsoft vs Apple", so I'd guess their question is related to the operating system as well. If they were just asking Mac hardware vs PC hardware, Microsoft wouldn't be in the picture at all.

I like Microsoft, because it's what I always use. I can't figure out the Mac very well. Then again, I only used it for 15 minutes at the library. I felt like such a noob... Also, Apple stuff is too expensive.

I've been using Apple laptops since eighth grade, so I've grown to being so used to them. I like Apple for the things that they do, but I've been wanting to get a gaming PC for a while. I'm gearing up to build one. My next laptop is likely another Apple though, because again, familiarity.

I don't have a problem with their hardware, its quite nice, but man I hate their OS with a passion. Plus, far too expensive. And I'm just really not their target audience, with all the programs I use that are never going to compatible with OSX, and the fact that no one is going to buy a mac as a gamer.

Definitely have to pick microsoft. I have an Apple laptop and a gaming PC right now, and the only reason I use the laptop is because I can take it with me places. Sure, it works fine for browsing the internet or writing papers and other crap like that, but it also cost ~$1000 and a cheaper laptop could do the same thing just as well. My desktop only cost ~$650 total, and can run pretty much any game on highest graphics settings with no problem. Sure, desktops are cheaper in general, but considering my laptop struggles to run almost anything on minimum graphics settings, I think I get significantly more for my money with the PC.

On the topic of Apple products, I just bought my mom an iPad mini for mother's day tomorrow. I know it's over-priced and lalala but my mom isn't even close to tech savvy and it should fit all her needs, so...
Also I get to play The World Ends With You when she's not looking :3

I'm still an iPod fan though, my iPods managed to last longer than previous MP3 players have.

Definitely agreed on that. Their battery life is amazing, which is huge for me since I'm constantly listening to music and don't always have a chance to charge it.
