I know the inconsiderable amount necessary to do what I do and don't wish to pursue further, so the second-to-last option I guess.

However! For those wishing to learn it, just know that learning a language like Japanese isn't impossible. It's surely not easy, but if you want to learn it, sign up for classes. Learning it on your own will be very, very difficult and may not amount to very much, especially if you intend to apply it in any sort of meaningful way. Get some classes in, take it seriously, and you'll probably surprise yourself.

In two days I'll be graduating from a high school that I majored in Japanese for four years. Unfortunately, it feels like I've only really learned anything in the first two years, so like c-square--where's the "I'm Forgetting Japanese" option?
