Don't want to derail the thread, but...While I find the fangirling amusing, I also find the tenor of the backlash against the fangirling pretty amusing. :x This is personal, but those (straight) dudes, who fanboy'd over and objectified all the lady superheroes all these years, and who made being a female comic book fan pretty lonely before the internet? At least the ones I know? Those dudes are now very uncomfortable that an absolute torrent of (straight) lady fans are writing PWPs about their childhood heroes and drawing pictures of Captain America and Iron Man kissing.
I....sort of feel like it's a big slice of justice pie, frankly. :xÂ
