For me, well... it's heard in DC pretty often. Nickname of Conan supposedly Kogoro (...ow?)
Isn't Kogoro's nickname: "Nemuri no Meitantei"? Could be completely wrong, and although my Japanese language skills are fairly low, 'Yume' means 'Dream' right?
And 'Nemuri' is 'Sleep' (Please correct me if I'm wrong though)

DarkAap= fairly simple, 'Aap' means 'Monkey' in English (It's Dutch) and since has been my nickname since I was still in pre-school, it kinda stuck... (No reason why I had the nickname 'Aap', I was always quiet...:( )
I think they also use it as famous (just maybe) plus it's "nemuri no kogoro" right? That's why it's "Sleeping Kogoro"  :P
Yume : Dream
Yumei : Famous

Although, the Dreaming Detective also sounds pretty good :D (Solving crimes in with your dreams XD)

My username came from two things. First off, a few years back(during the era of AOL version 6.0) my mom made user accounts for my siblings and me, and I hated my old username(tend to "forget" it). Unfortunately, I was a fan of DBZ and they wouldn't accept any name with the word "balls" in it (inappropriateness, I think was the reason), So I stuck with it. One day, I was watching a game show called "Street Smarts," and they also talked about book smarts, so I based my name off of a study of something useless I knew a lot about, Juansmarts!

By the way, I wasn't used to the idea that my name was "Juan" until like the 5th grade...

Is there such word as "yumei" in Japanese (there's "mei" (famous) in meitantei)? If there's such, I think it's inappropriate to repeat the description "famous" :P

And yeah, I meant Yume as in Dreams. I just don't like "Sleeping Kogoro" as username, lol

Usually I use ''Zero'' ( wingzero-system, from gundamwing ), 'cause I like the idea of being balanced. I'm not negative, nor possitive. I'm in the middle.. Sounds humble I know... ''Bright'' is the definition of my first name...
Put those two together and you have ''Bright_zero''...

Ooh, my first post here! How exciting! : ) ...Although I've been lurking here for a month maybe, but I've been too lazy to register.  So now officially: Hiyah all!

Okay, about my username. Well, FourteenTwelve is quite obvious to every fan of Conan and Kaito Kid... It comes from 1412, the number of Kaito Kid. I chose that name, because I've gotten bored of the other usernames I use on nearly all the forums I'm on. Those include Kuunvarjo (Finnish, meaning 'moonshade') and Redwallfani (Finnish too, meaning 'Redwall-fan'). I wanted to try something different and new, so here I am as FourteenTwelve.

This is indeed a nice topic, well don Yume!!

Well, I love Conan, But Macross is my favorite anime of all time, the series takes its name from the main ship "Macross" also known as SDF1 (Super Dimension Fortress 1) so I put them together SDF1Macross, I use it in all the forums I am part of, but sadly enough in the MacrossWorld.com Forums It was taken!! I had to go with Macross1982, 1982 being both the year Macross was first released and the year I was born  ;D

I am so sorry raj, this might sound so ignorant, but what does your nickname mean?
My name doesnt hold any special meaning. I use to go by the handle of TILK on gamespy, mplayer, and zone gaming. I had wanted to change my name and stop talking to alot of people who knew me, they'd accuse me of cheating at RB6 and so I changed my name joined a Clan called GMA my name was gma-pleazure then when I wanted to quit that and come back to SrB I joined up as rajhaziel that way they wouldnt know who i was cause well I didnt want them to find out I had quit and then came back. (Told them anyways.)

My name is derived from Soul Reaver the main characters name is Raziel I just added a jha to make ra+jha+ziel. ^_^
And I'm still wondering where "jha" could possibly come from

I liked the name Mina and it was the first online name I used when I started using internet. (So yes, my real name isn't Mina... or anything close to it, actually. But it's a secret. After all, secret makes a woman woman ;)  ;D )

I based mine on my avatar. I wanted an animal, and when I saw this white kite, it made me think of Kaitou Kid, and "Kaitou" sounded a bit like "kite", so I just went with it. My original plan was to make a signature where both the kite and Kaitou Kid with a flowing cape in somewhat the same position would somehow overlap each other, until I noticed that I didn't have Paint Shop Pro installed on this laptop. And I didn't immediately find such an image of Kaitou Kid, and the height would probably be too large, so I guess it'll stay as an idea in my mind. But at least I got my nickname ^^

oh, and I love nicknames which don't reveal your gender *he he he* :D
