I don't usually have the line on top when I wrote a capital, non-cursive J. A lot of people don't.

That was exactly my point XD

Anyway, the point was, to people who have grown up looking at English letters, your "I" looks like our "J"

Same is true for Germans when they first learn Schreibschrift. It's just that we know it means an "I" amidst cursives

hmmm.... mine sucks so bad my notes consist of 80% symbols 10% numbers, 10% wiggle-lines things ... (I mostly type nowadays sooo... not much practice...) XD lol Maybe I'll dig some old notes out when I have time XD

Except I leave spaces where necessary... unlike somebody XD
