Pretty much the same, although I think that the only reason that Harry Potter doesn't have quite the cult prestige that Star Wars does is that it's not old enough. I think you really need to see Star Wars, though.

Harry Potter has a pretty impressive cult following, though, considering how new it is. (However, I don't think the films will ever reach as high of a cult status. The books, maybe.)
