I don't want to know everything about everything.  I can handle some things being left unsaid.  Now, if it's a huge plot point and the story just ends, that's a totally different issue.

2. Because, when you're reading something with passion and interest, eagerly waiting for it's ending, then 'BOOM' comes a stupid ending that doesn't even explain anything, leaving you with a lot of never-solved questions.

The overly open ending bugs me because dammit, I want some resolution out of my story conclusions! It's what they're FOR!
