I don't try to stay in fashion, and I won't say that I'm up on the latest trends like Option 2, but I'm not completely oblivious to it like Option 3

Definitely not.
I simply wear whatever is cheap, comfortable and keeps you warm/is waterproof/etc.
Looks don't really matter, and fashion most certainly not.

Nope. Biggest surprise of my life when I saw other people wearing maxi dresses and denim. I'd been doing that for like two years already. I tend to only be aware of trends when they coincide with my own dressing choices (I have been accused of being a hipster recently because of my glasses. To which I'm always like "no, I'm nearly blind and couldn't be arsed with contacts today. You twat.")
