Today's Awesome Stories

As suggested, I've properly created this thread for stories that, whether happy or bad, are AWESOME 

The story that started it off:

During my Hallowe'en party last night, we were out the back of my house burning stuff in the firepit (don't take that weird, it was just reciepts and old French jotters and stuff XD) when a bunch of gatecrashers came in through the back gate, drunk off their skulls and yelling stuff that would shock 4chan and grabbing sticks out of the fire to throw cinders at people. Unfortunately for them, my dad was engaged in his annual ritual of sitting in the bushes out front with a beer and the power hose to deter eggers, heard them, and came out back with the power hose... (this thing once took the paint off our car when he put it on full power, so those guys got the hell out of dodge pretty quickly  )

No, I think it has to do with Election day or something like that

It's annoying for everyone else. The day you're free to go shopping, you can't go into the bank. I mean, obviously you still have cash machines, but if the damn things go down then you're screwed.

Today's awesome story: at the Argos where I work, the door between the shop floor and the staff area and warehouse in the back has a code on it, so most of us employees just jump up on the counter and swing our legs over. One of the boys bringing stuff out from the warehouse bumped against a display shelf with mugs on it, and one of them fell off. My friend Natalie, who was swinging over the counter at the time, landed in a ninja crouch, leaned forward and caught the mug just before it hit the ground. She then jumped up and yelled "How good am I?!" She got applause
