Aoko crashing into Kaito 3 times in 15 seconds is wonderful.

uh...yeah I'm not touching that line with a 39 and a half foot pole. And followed by 50s movie montage. Somehow this is the strangest thing I've seen in Magic Kaitou anime.

I almost forgot just how goofy this series can be.

LUPIN THE THIRD COSTUME!!!!!!

Yeah, this episode is one of those ones that would have been terrible instead of fun if it were written by someone less talented. I don't think I can say much more than that.

Try VLC for watching .avi files.  Works best IMO.. 

Episode was good.  Funny, and yea, the Lupin costume made me lulz.

Agreed to your statement about the writing, they do a fantastic job at keeping it funny but good.  Hoping for some more Kaitou Kid eps soon, probably my fav. side/spin-off anime. =]

Fun episode. The slightly changes to the manga actually improved it a bit.

The mothra costume might have been my favorite part.

I understand why Kaito did it, but showing up in his full get up and doing magic tricks is reallllllly risky. Now he has set up a lot of people, a large chunk of them who don't know him personally, to internally see him as Kaitou Kid. He's essentially killed the element of him not being associated with Kid and not being pictured in such an unusual costume. And there's no way nobody took a photo. I'm kinda of amazed he didn't do something intentionally off, such as no monocle, or on the wrong eye, the hat being off/wrong shape, wrong color tie, etc. Suspension of disbelief, I guess.

Aside from those points, it was still very enjoyable and seems to be one of the best directed episodes of him. Also Akako's voice has grown on me.

I really love MK, and this just embodies that love

It's funny, lighthearted, and entertaining. I mean, think about it: there was no heist, there was no bad guys, just Kaito on a ski trip.

This is the proof that you don't necessarily need an intricate story to tell an interesting story. You just need characters that people want to see (Kaito, Aoko, Akako, the love-crazed teacher, etc)


Can't wait for more Kaito episodes 

This particular story is a bit special to me, and I'm really happy to see it animated (even if I'm half-sure that it's in part to set up for Hakuba's eventual appearance). It's a nice breather after Blue Birthday went and dropped that bomb. I like the changes they made to the episode, especially with Fujie-kun -- the fact that he went to Kaito for Aoko's sake was very sweet. And Aoko actually got to ski!

In the end, it was all good fun. I'm calling Hakuba to show up soon, if not next, while it's still seasonably-appropriate for Kaito to fall on his face while skating.

I was so surprised to see the the the lupin cosplayers made it in along with kamen yaiba ( for kamen Rider 1) and Godzilla and mothra.  though does that mean that the Jegain cosplayer was a girl? 

i think Aoko's what do you see in Kaito lines came out better animated.

I thought the music wasn't that good compared to the previous episodes.

The humor was decent, it got a bit old pretty quickly though.

Story was, IMO, the best of all six episodes. Akako was much better in this compared to episode 4. However, this episode made me hate Aoko even more, such a whiny girl who should be hit every time she speaks in the 3rd person (yes, I know, some girls speak like that in Japan, but they're usually younger, like Ayumi).

The only other character I know that speaks in third person has been hit...and she turned out like this

And no one died on Christmas! Such a feel-good episode! Yeah! Perfect Christmas episode! And that ending where he sent flying that card and greeted Merry Christmas! *faints*

And Aoko got to ski and wasn't all damsel in distress so that was ayt.

and it's always weird seeing actual magic happening in Conan-world.

Maybe she thinks Kaito dresses her up with his eyes closed lololol. Or it was so fast that he wouldn't get to see her body anyway...

well some teenage girls tend to speak in 3rd person as well especially those who are still close to childhood stage and lets be honest Aoko is bit of Adult-child.
