Just now, Magic Kaito was announced to get a TV anime adaptation. It will be aired on April 17th on Animax channel.
The producer, voice actors and everything is completely unknown. No extra information is provided.
I'm so incredibly excited about this! Kaitou KID is my favourite character in Conan, as well of all time. I know there's hardly any source material, and I really don't know my thoughts regarding a filler ending...well, I'll just wait and see what happens. Still awesome news!
Interesting news... Now that you mention it, I remember reading someplace some commentary by Yamaguchi Kappei about how he's excited for more work... could be about that then... XD
But I wonder if they're going to include all that extreme stuff... y'know, with things like Akako flying on a broomstick... Kaito does appear in DC, but the things happening around him are a little more realistic... But then again, Akako came out in episode 219, so they'll probably have to include the magic factor... but...
Oh whatever... I'll just try to be patient here...

I don't think there's any anime where I'd be confused by the sudden appearance of a witch
I mean when it comes to anime that's pretty standard.

True, but for DC standards, it's a little too... I mean, all those mysteries are based on logic and reality you know....

you say that, but then you ignore the high school detective who turned into a kid
I mean, including magic in the actual crime solving would be silly yeah, but there basically is magic already in the show, just under the guise of "science".

After this, I'll try shutting up, and just enjoy the show...
Anyway, it's just that... things like witches broomsticks are just too fantasy-ish compared to Shinichi shrinking... Although it's pretty much impossible for people to shrink like that, Aoyama-sensei actually put in some sort of scientific explanation to it to make it a little bit more realistic...

i'm sure aoyama can think of another scientific explanation for the flying broomstick
