I agree. For one, while Kuroba Kaito is indeed a pervert, he's strictly a gentleman as Kid, and given the whole thing with Aoko I do find it odd that he'd mess with Ran's feelings so much. Also, with his whole non-violence thing and given how protective he is about those he cares for, I find it hard to believe that he'd let Conan run in against a bunch of gun-toting professional terrorists. Yeah, he knows that Conan isn't your regular little kid, but really, would you let even a capable friend head off into those odds alone? I dunno, just a lot of stuff was off-kilter. I don't really like how they seem to be making Kid more violent these days. Yes, he can be a dark character, particularly regarding Snake, but his primary creed is Nobody gets hurt. This has been explicitly stated in Magic Kaito, where in the last arc he tried to save the life of the man who'd just tried to murder him and, failing that, at least saved his reputation. He was set up as a character who would do anything to avoid violence or anyone getting hurt, so WTF?
