I suppose, but then it's really more of a "pick your poison, fantasy or sci-fi" type of deal anyway, which isn't very different.kaitoushinichi wrote:After this, I'll try shutting up, and just enjoy the show...Akonyl wrote:you say that, but then you ignore the high school detective who turned into a kidkaitoushinichi wrote:True, but for DC standards, it's a little too... Kaito does appear in DC, but the things happening around him are a little more realistic... But then again, Akako came out in episode 219, so they'll probably have to include the magic factor... but...
Oh whatever... I'll just try to be patient here...
I mean when it comes to anime that's pretty standard.
I mean, including magic in the actual crime solving would be silly yeah, but there basically is magic already in the show, just under the guise of "science".
Anyway, it's just that... things like witches broomsticks are just too fantasy-ish compared to Shinichi shrinking... Although it's pretty much impossible for people to shrink like that, Aoyama-sensei actually put in some sort of scientific explanation to it to make it a little bit more realistic...
The only way I could see people complaining about the magic is if it was introduced way later, on like episode 100 or something, when people have gotten used to normalcy. As long as she's introduced early on I'd imagine people would accept it, even if she's the only magical thing in the whole show.
and yeah, scientific broomsticks and witch powers! The broomstick... creates microturbulence to hover, and witch powers are actually fusion-powered atom-rearrangers. Tada!
