By now alot of people here who are also on DeviantART have likely seen this, but I figured I should make it available for everyone here to see.
its kinda a huge picture.
This is a picture of the polymur clay figurine I've made of Shinichi.
it took me around two weeks, maybe a bit more, and is the second most difficult of the figurines I've made to date.
He stands only four and a half inches tall, but that makes him the largest of my figurines.
After the reaction I've already goten on DA I figured it was wise to get it out there for more eyes to see.
also wish to ask if anyone has ideas on who else I should make.
(I can't do Kaitou Kid, white clay gets filthy within moments of taking it out. I'd rather not soil that pristine white outfit of his.)

I've had some practice, I wasn't always very good at these.

pretty awesome! The hand especially, getting all the fingers in there.
So that's all unpainted colored clay? If so, then doing those eyes must've been hard too.
but anyway, *thumbs up*

wow, thanks everyone!
and yes Akonyl, your exactly right.
everything including the eyes is unpainted colored clay. (the eyes were especialy difficult, but a toothpick always helps.)

good job, then. Do you do any things with ceramics and such, or do you just work with the soft-type clay that doesn't require a kiln?

I have worked with more than one type of clay, but all I use now is polymur clay.
Its easier to get, and doen't require special equipment.
It also coperates better, someone on DeviantART asked if I had to keep my clay moist and the thing with polymur clay is that it is very hard to dry out.
(I tried with a small bit to do just that and it was still useable even after a month of being out.)

this is sweet... I just envisioned a robot chicken show that parodied case closed..it would work, as they do make fun of a lot of adult swim shows!

I've never intentionaly watched that show, and really don't want to, don't like the way they make fun of other shows.
I didn't mean for this to be seen as a parody, just a fan showing she appreciates the story.
