NOTE:  Can someone please move this to the correct section?  I'm not sure what happened, I disconnect from the internet and when I came back on this was here instead o_o

A friend of mine was curious why I only post sketches on Holmes Study and not DCTP forum...I'm not sure actually.

Well anyways, here's something I'm colouring now.

If anyone around here is good at this type of colouring, tips will be most welcomed (umm bad comment are welcome too xD).

I have more work on Holmes Study forum if anyone is interested.

Thank you for viewing~

(note: low quality)

Original can be found on Chapter 1 of DC xD

Good use of colors, but the uniforms are a little too dark.

Heh, very impressive work. The darker tones taken with it seem to, collectively, give it a very expansive look. Again, really nice job.

I moved the topic for you as well.

I... can't see any picture... it may be cause of how it is hosted (I am using a school computer) but usually it would show some kind of [x] or something...

first one is great, feel like I'm watching better colored version of the anime =D

what do you use for edges? magnetic lasso?

Ugh... the magnetic Lasso is the worst tool in the word.

My friend and me both either use the lasso (parallel) tool and touch up afterwards, or use the pen tool and select and area like that. (Much easier using the pen tool; and neater!)

I can now see your works! Yay! Though.. the first one confused me. It's not not as I remembered the manga... there was no Ran kicking action! <=O

Thank you very much!  Actually, for this I use a tablet :).  But if I'm using mouse, I'll use the pen tool (it's really great).

What did you use to color it?

Well in this particular instance, I'm using a program called "Painter Sai".  I use everything from photoshop to painter other times :).

But before colouring I clean up lines and seperate them from the background.  If you want to know how to do that I wrote a tutorial in Holmes Study.
